Fabric Toy Box

Living with a little baby at home - I'm drowning under baby toys...and they spread very quickly all over the place... I needed to find a solution so here is my little son's new Toy box :-)

With a tutorial for "non-pro" sewers like me

First I cut 6 squares in the exterior fabric (braun), the lining (green) and the batting (white), I tried to use a strong one to help the box keep it's shape.

Then I put the lining and the exterior fabric right sides together and on top the batting as so for 5 of the squares :

For the lid I insert a ribbon between the lining and the exterior fabric as so:

Then I sew all the squares living an opening to turn them inside out, and then close it with some hand stiches.
And finally I assemble all the squares to form a cube by threading a needle with wool and stiching all the squares together as so:

And I also sewed a button

Panduro Lykkepose Challenge II

In min lykkepose var der også nogle fine stjerner. Jeg malede dem og brugte dem som "til-og-fra-gavekort"

Ny suttekæde

I did another pacifier holder as I came to realise that the first one I made was too long, there is a risk that it goes around his neck so I now did a shorter one - 18 cm long
And I added a little ribbon on the side for fun but he actually likes to play with it sometimes :-)

Fuse Beads Flowers project

After seeing this beautiful bracelet project (click on the image for the tutorial)

I decided to do something similar for a necklace. But to do the flowers I had to use a special board for fused beads with cats shapes as so:

Here is my necklace version

Crafts Beautiful magazine

I just received today my Crafts Beautiful Magazine, it's a very cool source mostly for paper crafting, here is there website : Crafts Beautiful website
and what I like the most about it is the goodies you receive with each issue - crafting material - that I collect and then can use for any occasion when I need to make a card, and who doesn't need to do that at least twice a year! - And I'm thinking about christmas and birthdays .....

Moreover they have a channel on youtube with Corinne Bradd, she is excellent at making video tutorials, check her out : TheCraftsChannel

Hello Kitty with fuse beads

I found on the internet, this really cute Hello Kitty made out of beads for kids from Katrivsor and reproduced it to embellish a boring H&M present wrapping

The numbers correspond to the number of beads

And the funny wrapping

Angel Care Blespand - billig refill - Angelcare Nappy Disposal System - cheap refill cassette-

Jeg har købt en angel care blespand og fandt på internettet en rigtig god billig refill ide fra ayl@ på "min-mave.dk" forum, hermed deler jeg min måde at gøre det:

This is what an Angel Care Blespand looks like
I used an original empty refill and made an incision on the exterior layer (I stopped 1,5 cm from the bottom)
I used ayl@'s trick of the waste plastic bag, the ones that have the plastic straps to close them, I shirr the bag until it's closed as seen on the picture

And then introduce both straps in the incision, this will keep the bag in place

I then insert the opening bag all around the refill between the exterior and interior layer with my fingers (that requires a bit of practice to make it fast).
Here is the finished product
Then I insert the refill in the bin with the two plastic straps of the waste bag in one of the corners of the bin as shown on the picture.

Stroller bag

I love the Elodie Details StrollerShopper bag, it's so practical to use and carry on your shoulder or on the stroller but I was missing a special compartment to use as a handbag so I wouldn't have to carry around two bags, so I created this little zipper pocket attachable to the handle of the bag.

The tutorial can be found in this post
