Syge dage

These last weeks have been punctuated by the flu on an on and off basis and hopping from one member of the family to the other....! So one of those days we played dinosaurs sticking, it started like this: nice and cosy

and ended up like this.... a mountain of unrecognisable dinosaurs stickers

Origami pumpkins

I just discovered a blog called Brinja København, via Dorthe's Roderier.

She linked to a super cool website called the origami club with great video tutorials, and there is a section about halloween. I tried to make a 3D pumpkin but failed at the last stages of the "montage" so if anyone has any tip about that part they are very welcome :-)

So instead I followed this tutorial on yt from MrCaboblanco

MIni Crochet Pumpkin

I found this super cute project from Julie Kundhi via the craftzine blog

But because I only had very few orange yarn, I had to size down the pumpkin and make it mini, so what I did is row 1 4 sc into the ring, then I went on row 2, 3 and 4, directly knitted a row 7 and 8 and then decreased with row 10 and 11, then row 12 with brown yarn.

Butterfly necklace

I used a broche purchased at H&M for 25kr. and a satin lace sewed at the back, to create this romantic necklace

Raslepuder

I went to the babymessen last weekend, where I saw Tine Mynster perform and I fell in love with her songs. From her first album "Balder" she has a song where she plays with a little peabag or cushion, putting it on her shoulders or her head and letting it fall , it was a big hit with the kids, so I decided to sew some peabags and get the song!

Gift wrapping with fabric ribbon

Yesterday night I needed to wrap a gift for a newborn baby but only had craft paper at hand, so I used fabric wrapping string to give it a softer look - I teared two strips of fabric

to do so you just cut a slit with a scissor along the length of your fabric and just tear it by hand, it gives a perfect band with a nice raw edge

One of the strip was not long enough so I had to tear two strips and sew them together

Then I just rolled a bit the two strips together and wrapped the gift

Baby vest number 3

Finished project, the result is quite nice, a bit too big for him but at least it'll last a couple of months.

I like the finish in the back with the green yarn, I ran out of the grey yarn...

and these are mini little wrist warmers, an idea I got from my newly found co-knitter :-)

Strik cafe møde

Last saturday I went to a knitting reunion at the "culturehouse" of my neighbourhood, it was a very nice encounter with the initiator of this idea.
This is the project I was working on while sipping a coffee and chit-chatting with a co-knitter

If you are in the area and would like to try it out, it takes place on saturdays at 3 pm at the Christianshavns Beboerhus :-)

Panduro lykkepose challenge IV

I couldn't resist and bought two lykkeposer from Panduro!

There were lots of things for "candle crafting" so that might be something that will pop up near christmas... but there were also two balls of yarn. One was sufficient to complete this super cute project:

oh yeah.. well, the stripes were not intentional, got distracted...

Great tutorial from ThriftyKnitter, this is a vest for a newborn, I am working on a bigger version for my son, to be continued  :-)

Sarubobo

These cuties were made possible thanks to Mariruru and her tutorial, they are called Sarubobo, cute name for cute little creatures, she also has an etsy shop full of cuteness! It's temporary closed because of her newborn baby, but you still can see what she had for sale

My blog's 4th Anniversary!

It's the 4th year Anniversary of my blog today and I thought it was a good occasion to thank my dear and fantastic "companion" without which I could not have done all the fun things I have been doing until now: my sewing machine!

I bought it new at a local supermarket when I arrived to Denmark for the equivalent of  94 EUR! Unbelievable n'est-ce pas ?

And here is a recap of all the banners I've had since the beginning of the blog
